NORTH ANDOVER — People of all ages flocked (see what we did there?) to see the “Birds of Prey” demonstration at the North Andover Senior Center on April 24.
Those in attendances, ranging from babies to well-seasoned senior citizens, learned about a trio of birds brought in by Tailwinds Raptor Education and Conservation based in Kensington, New Hampshire
In addition to wowing just by being on display, Tailwinds’ raptor ambassadors and their people taught the audience how to be respectful neighbors, as well as offering lessons in their adaptations, ecology, biology and how the community can help such birds to thrive.
Tailwinds has about 13 volunteers working with nonreleasable birds of prey to bring raptor education programs to schools, libraries, and community groups and gathering spaces.
