DANVILLE — The classic “A Christmas Story” comes to life on stage, as a musical by DLO Musical Theatre.
DLO Musical Theatre will be presenting “A Christmas Story: The Musical” on Nov. 17-19 at the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium at Danville High School, 202 E. Fairchild St.
Based on the classic film, “A Christmas Story” follows Ralphie Parker on his quest for the perfect Christmas gift. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Ind., the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts — an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn with a similar echoing response, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire for the coveted BB gun.
