THOMASVILLE — Each year, Brookwood’s seventh grade students travel to the University of Georgia 4-H center on Jekyll Island for an immersive experience in nature’s classroom. The annual field trip provides an opportunity for students to explore coastal ecology and marine life, fostering an appreciation for the environment that surrounds them in their home state, Brookwood School said in a press release.
This year’s itinerary was packed with hands-on activities. From salt marsh ecology to shark dissections, each lesson offered a unique perspective on the diverse ecosystems found on the island.
