ST. PETER — Three vehicles and four people ranging in age from 2 to 55 were involved in a crash on Highway 169 between Mankato and St. Peter Tuesday morning.
Details of the identities and extent of injuries had not been released by the Minnesota State Patrol when this edition of The Free Press went to press.
The incident occurred on northbound Highway 169 at 367th Avenue, which is about two miles south of the southern city limits of St. Peter. A 2019 Ford F150 and a 2003 Toyota Celica were on the right shoulder of the highway at 11:14 a.m. when a 2020 Ford Escape collided with the pickup on the shoulder, pushing the pickup into the Toyota, according to the Patrol.
The driver of the Escape was a 45-year-old male from St. Peter, and the vehicle was also carrying a 2-year-old boy from St. Peter. The driver of the Celica was a 19-year-old Mankato man. The driver of the pickup was a 55-year-old St. Paul man.
