When it came to defense and serve receive, Chris set himself apart from the rest on the N.H. state Div. I runner up. Homsey had over 400 attempts in serve receive this season and had passed at 2.47 per game. Along with his elite serve receive, Chris had 245 digs on the year and 76 assists. He led the team in aces with 30. A first-team All-State performer he will be heading to University of New Hampshire where he will play club volleyball.
TRISTAN WITENKO
Salem High Senior
Middle Hitter
Tristan was in his first year of volleyball and had made a huge impact. Standing at 6-foot-6 and being a natural athlete, he found his groove early in the season. The reliable hitter had 112 kills while hitting just under .300. A basketball star, Tristan will be continuing his education at Northern Essex CC where he will play for the national champs in hoop.
JAKE DELANO
Salem High Senior
Outside Hitter
Another late bloomer, Jake played a pivotal role in the dominant Blue Devils the last two seasons. At 6-foot-1, Jake was a reliable hitter with with 102 kills, 38 of which came in the playoffs where his hitting percentage was at .320. After high school Jake plans on jumping right into the work force to become a plumber.
MATTHEW CAIRNS
Timberlane Regional Senior
Outside hitter
Matt has been heart and soul of the Owls program for the past two seasons, serving as a two-year captain. Was a dominant force, averaging 11 kills per game as go-to hitter. Was selected as a 2nd team N.H. All-State player. Coach Danielle Stoodley says his “leadership, consistency, and commitment to the program have left a lasting legacy.”

North Andover Senior
Libero
Prady leaves the Scarlet Knights showing his special versatility, leading with 293 digs and 40 aces on the season. Due to injuries, he also played outside hitter and setter at points during the season, adding 76 kills and 75 assists on the season as well. Prady ends his high school career having been named to the MVC All-Conference first team for three straight seasons and returns as Eagle-Tribune All-Star. He will be attending Wentworth Institute of Technology in the fall.
MALIK HASSAN
North Andover High Junior
Opposite Hitter
Malik was one of the top two-way players in the MVC this past season. Despite missing six games due to injury, he led the Knights with 52 blocks and was second on the team in kills (188). He also had 73 digs and added some power at the service line with 19 aces. Malik was named to the MVC All-Conference first team. Malik plays club volleyball for N.E. Storm Volleyball.
VICTOR TORRES
Lawrence High Sophomore
Outside hitter
The Merrimack Valley Conference has a star in the making as this Lancers sophomore was a terror as the MVC’s Div. 2 Player of the Year. The outside hitter was huge in stature and especially at the net with 332 kills, 15 blocks and 190 digs. He added a team best 57 aces. He was integral in Lawrence’s 13-7 season, its first state tourney berth in seven years.
CHRISTIAN GOMEZ
Lawrence High Junior
Setter
The MVC All-Conference performer worked in tandem with his teammate Victor Torres to make the Lancers offense elite. Gomez finished with an amazing 667 assists and 115 digs to help lead the program’s resurgence. Christian also averaged over two aces per match. After starting his career as a key defender, he moved to setter last spring and his career took off with more than 1,000 assists.

Outside hitter
Coach Matt Twomey calls Cole one of the strongest outside players he’s ever coached. Missed most of his sophomore year with a concussion but proved to be a top MVC player, named All-Conference with 209 kills, 136 digs and a serving percentage of 88 percent. Also noted for his defense, no doubt a Player of Year candidate next spring.
ANDREW BEGLEY
Windham High Senior
Setter
A second team All-State performer, Andrew leaves Windham volleyball having made a special impact as a four-year varsity player, team captain, recruiter, mentor, and leader. The setter directed the offense with 441 assists while contributing 111 digs, 20 service aces, and 14 blocks. Andrew will take his talents to the University of New Hampshire in the fall.
SHIVAN SHRESTHA

Defensive specialist
Windham’s team MVP. A four-year varsity player and captain, he was noted as the team’s defensive anchor. Shivan finished with a team-leading 176 digs, while also contributing 24 service aces and 40 kills. His outstanding serve receive player. Also second team All-State performer and noted student, he will be attending Northern Illinois University in the fall.
