Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation announced the 2024 recipients of the Hazel York Scholarship. Scholarships totaling $4,000 have been awarded to graduates of Shelby County who will be studying medicine or nursing.
The recipients are:
Adalynn Miller, a graduate of Shelbyville High School studying occupational therapy at the University of Indiana.
Madison Roberts, a 2024 graduate of Shelbyville High School pursuing a degree in communication disorders at Eastern Illinois University.
The Hazel York Scholarship is made possible by the scholarship endowment supporting current seniors and graduates of high schools in Shelby County who are studying medicine or nursing.
