DANVILLE — The City of Danville announces temporary road closures on Monday, Sept. 7 for the annual Danville Labor Day Parade.
According to a release from the city, staging for the parade will take place in the Hope Unlimited parking lots as well as along North Walnut Street and West Williams Street. Road closures in the staging area which are North Walnut Street between West Seminary Street and West Williams, as well as West Williams between North Walnut and North Vermillion will begin at 7:45 a.m. and will remain in effect until approximately 10:30 a.m.
The parade is schedule to start at 9 a.m. from the intersection of North Vermillion Street and West Williams Street, The route will head south along North Vermilion, finishing at the Riverfront Plaza, located at intersection of North Vermillion and Main Street.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, the parade route will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:45 a.m. until approximately 10:30 a.m.
