Niagara Falls police are investigating a Friday night shooting incident in which a man suffered a gunshot wound and another man was struck by a vehicle late Friday night at 19th Street and Walnut Avenue.
Police were called to the area bout 11:45 p.m. Friday for a report of shots fired. Arriving officers found a man laying in the road with other people surrounding him. Police said none of the people were cooperative with police and refused to answer questions. Police later determined the 33-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while several vehicles were driving erratically as they fled the scene of the shooting. The man was taken for treatment and was listed in stable condition.
Shortly after responding to 19th and Walnut, police dispatch was informed that a 21-year-old man had arrived at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his right leg. The man was also listed in stable condition.
