PEABODY — A local man won $500,000 on a lottery ticket he recently purchased on Lowell Street, the Massachusetts State Lottery said in a statement.
David McHenry of Peabody won the top prize of the “$500,000” instant ticket game. He received a one-time payment of $500,000 before taxes, the lottery said.
He bought the ticket at E Market Convenience Store & Deli, located at 598 Lowell St. The store earned a $5,000 bonus for the sale of the ticket.
McHenry is the seventh winner of the ticket game’s top prize, according to the statement.
