NORTH ANDOVER — North Andover High School celebrated its 350 graduates during its graduation ceremony Friday night.
Graduates, school and district administration, and family and friends gathered at the Joseph F. Walsh Jr. Memorial Stadium for the Class of 2026’s commencement.
“I may not know exactly what each graduate will become, but I know who they already are,” Superintendent Pamela Lathrop said about the graduates. “They are talented, compassionate, courageous and community-minded young people, and because of that, the future is in very good hands.”
Valedictorian Laween Ismaail and Salutatorian Natasha Secan addressed their peers before Lathrop gave her remarks.
North Andover High School Principal Deborah Holman delivered her remarks before presenting the class. School Committee members handed out the diplomas.
Students were recognized for being members of the National Honor Society or completing the Greater Lawrence Technical School’ after dark program. Students who will attend military academies, enlisted in the military or received Reserve Officers’ Training Corps’ scholarships wore red, white and blue cords.
The North Andover High School Symphonic Band performed the processional instrumentation and later played “Prospect” by Pierre LaPlante.
The high school choir also performed “The Star Spangled Banner” and “No Time” at the graduation.
