BAKER, W.Va. — Trailing 5-3 after five innings, Keyser rallied to take the lead in the sixth.
The Cougars (18-9) answered in the bottom half and held on for a 7-6 win on Friday.
In the top of the sixth, the Golden Tornado (10-16) took the lead on an error and Cole Holland’s RBI single to left.
East Hardy responded with a steal of home from Evan Hamilton and the go-ahead single from Shayne Sisler.
Mason Hamilton and Sisler each had two hits for the Cougars.
Sisler drove in three runs while Hamilton added a double and stolen base.
Sisler struck out five across five innings, allowing two earned runs.
Evan Hamilton got the win in relief, tossing two innings with an unearned run and three strikeouts.
Zeke Eye took the loss, allowing three earned runs in four innings.
Cam Larkin and Mikey Mongold each had a pair of hits for Keyser.
Both teams move on to the regional playoffs, beginning on Monday.
Keyser is No. 5 in the Class AAA, Region II bracket and opens at Elkins.
East Hardy earned the top seed in Class A, Region II and hosts the winner of Tucker County and Paw Paw.
Lighthouse 16, Harman 1
POTOMAC PARK — Lighthouse ended its season on a high note, routing Harman in four innings on Friday at the Hammer Complex.
“I’m so proud of our guys,” Lighthouse manager Don Swogger said. “Finishing the season with a seven game winning streak was a great way to end 2026 and an exciting way to prepare for next year.”
The Seahawks went from a 1-7 start to an 8-7 finish.
Easton Wagner, Peyton Poland and Ryder Rapson each had three hits for Lighthouse.
Jake Zewatsky, Sammy Scritchfield, Eli Ziler and Aaron Carpenter added a pair.
Poland and Cade Brenneman each drove in three runs while Rapson, Andrew Carrington and Carpenter drove in two.
Poland struck out six across two innings while Rapson added five punchouts in the final two frames.
