Cooperstown 5, Sauquoit Valley 4
Joey Paterno had nine strikeouts in a complete-game win as Cooperstown beat host Sauquoit Valley in a Center State Conference Division II game Monday, May 11.
Cooperstown took `a 5-0 lead in the top of the first off the strength of five-straight hits. Paterno, Braden Rawitch and Elijah McCaffrey had RBI and Ty Burkhart had a two-RBI single.
Paterno gave up six hits and walked one. SV got one run back in the bottom of the first and three more in the second.
Cooperstown will celebrate its Senior Night on Wednesday, May 13, with a non-division game against Frankfort-Schuyler at Doubleday Field.
South Kortright/Margaretville 12, Middleburgh 6
Cody Hager struck out 10 batters to get the win and also doubled as the Rams beat Middleburgh in a non-league game Monday in South Kortright.
Braeden Rockefeller had two hits and three RBI for SK/M, which also got a double from Jackson Hudson.
The Rams led after five innings, 10-1.
South Kortright/Margaretville (10-3, 5-1) plays an opponent yet to be determined in the Delaware League championship at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 14 at Oneonta’s Neahwa Park.

Manlius-Pebble Hill 5, Cooperstown 0
No. 6 seeded MPH eliminated No. 3 Cooperstown in a Section III Class D playoff match Monday at The Clark Sports Center.
MPH defeated Cooperstown in the quarterfinals of team sectionals at the Clark Sports Center 5-0.
At first singles, Savir Ghambhir defeated Henry Ayers, 6-1, 6-1. At second singles, Eric Hu defeated Alfred Hom, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (3). At third singles, Will Spear defeated Hayden Spencer, 6-3, 6-2. At first doubles, Andy Lurvy and Owen Hay defeated Bianca Adam and Micah Raffo, 6-1, 6-3. At second doubles, Momin Naveed and Adam Sana defeated Rigzin Gazan and Emmett Ayers, 6-0, 6-1.
Softball
Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs 12, Laurens/Milford 4
Bailey Thayer struck out 12 batters in a three-hitter as host CV-S/SS beat Laurens/Milford in a Tri-Valley League consolation game Monday in Cherry Valley.
CV-S/SS got six runs in the first inning, and led 8-0 before both teams had a four-run sixth inning.
Abigail Fields had two hits and three RBI including a home run.
Mackenzie Briggs and Kyrah Andrades each had a hit and scored a run for L/M, while Zoey Stanley had an RBI and scored a run.
Peyton Barbic had a double, an RBI and scored three runs for CV-S/SS, which also got two RBI and two runs scored from Justeena Finch.
Sauquoit Valley 11, Cooperstown 2
Lanie Nelen went 2-for-4 with an RBI but host Cooperstown lost a Center State Conference Division II game to SV on Monday.
Carlotta Falso took the loss, walking seven and giving up five hits while striking out seven in seven innings.
Allyson Brennan doubled twice and had three RBI for Sauquoit Valley.
Sophia Johnson and Scarlett Bong scored runs for Cooperstown (2-10, 2-6), which plays a non-division game at Frankfort-Schuyler on Wednesday.

Oneonta 7, Johnson City 4
Jenevie Gallusser struck out 11 batters including her 200th varsity strikeout and also hit a two-run home run and scored three times as Oneonta beat host Johnson City in round-robin play Saturday, May 9.
Oneonta took a 6-0 lead before Johnson City rallied to put pressure on the Yellowjackets late.
Carley Mistler went 2-for-4 with two runs scored for Oneonta, which also got an RBI double and a run scored from Kendall LeFever and two RBI and a run scored from Kylie Carr.
Oneonta (13-6, 3-3) plays a Southern Tier Athletic Conference non-division game at Chenango Valley on Tuesday, May 12, to close out the regular season.

Carley Mistler threw a three-hitter and struck out eight as Oneonta beat Sidney in a game Saturday in Johnson City.
Jenevie Gallusser had two hits including a double, scored twice and had three RBI for the Yellowjackets, which also got three runs from Logan Jipson and two triples from Kylie Carr.
Lexi Mott had a triple and two RBI for Sidney.
Teagan Stanton-Helms took the loss for the Sabers, walking 10 and giving up 13 hits while striking out three.
Johnson City 19, Sidney 3
Lexi Mott had a triple and scored two runs, but Sidney lost to host Johnson City in round-robin play Saturday.
Onaka Stanton-Helms had a double and two RBI for Sidney (7-9, 5-5).

Franklin 31, Worcester 23
Peyton Woodward scored six runs as host Franklin topped Worcester in a Tri-Valley League game Friday, May 8.
Adaline Coulter went 3-for-5 and scored five runs. Zoe Boren had a hit and scored five runs.
Azaleah Lorette had a grand slam and five total RBI for Worcester.
