American Red Cross is asking donors to give blood or platelets now to help the blood supply stay ahead of increasing seasonal pressures. All blood types, and platelets, are needed.
To schedule an appointment to donate, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS or use the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
Those who donate through May 17 will receive a $20 Amazon gift card by email. The incentive for donors from May 18 to May 30 is an oversize Red Cross beach towel.

• Tuesday — 1 to 6 p.m., The Dale Association, 33 Ontario St.
• May 18 — noon to 5 p.m., Middleport Fire Department, 28 Main St.
• May 26 — 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Youngstown Fire Hall, 625 3rd St.
• May 28 — noon to 5 p.m., Gratwick Fire Hose Co. #6, 110 Ward Road, North Tonawanda
