CUMBERLAND — No. 5 Fort Hill scored at least two runs in every inning, including a nine-run second, to rout Hancock, 18-0, in five innings Friday.

Moorefield 8, No. 3 East Hardy 4
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Moorefield needed just three base hits to plate six runs during a decisive fourth inning against No. 3 East Hardy Friday.
Blake Snyder led off the frame with a single, and two walks, a hit-by-pitch and an error followed before Oliver Crites drove in two with a single to put Moorefield ahead 6-2. A two-out dropped-third strike tacked on another tally.
That was more than enough run support for Matthew Iman, who allowed two runs on six hits across six innings. He struck out 12 and walked three in a winning effort.
The Yellow Jackets (7-3) snapped a five-game skid to East Hardy (4-3).
Mason Hamilton went 3 for 4 with a triple to lead the Cougars’ lineup. Evan Hamilton scored twice.
Gage Dove was tabbed with the loss on the mound.
East Hardy hosts a doubleheader with Paw Paw (1-2) on Saturday beginning at noon.

Hampshire 10, Doddridge Co. 8
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A day after taking down one of West Virginia’s top Class AAA squads, Hampshire bested Class AA’s top team Doddridge County in eight innings Friday at the South Atlantic Bank Invitational in Myrtle Beach.
Doddridge (12-2) is ranked No. 1 in this week’s WVMetroNews poll. The Trojans (6-5) defeated PikeView, ranked third in Class AAA, 10-4 on Thursday.
Against the Bulldogs, Hampshire fell behind 3-0 after the first inning but battled back to take a 6-5 lead into the bottom of the seventh.
Doddridge’s Luke Rokisky blasted a one-out home run to center field — which would’ve been a walk-off shot if Zeke McDonald hadn’t caught a runner trying to steal at second one pitch prior.
Brayden Hott gave Hampshire the go-ahead tally with a groundout a half-inning later, and the Trojans brought three more in to give an ample cushion to hold off a late rally.
McDonald doubled, and Channing Wilt, Landon Whitacre and Mason Slade had two base hits each.
Wilt was the winning pitcher, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits in 4 2/3 frames of middle relief.
Rokisky paced the Doddridge sticks going 3 for 4 with two RBIs and four runs.
Tristan Swiger allowed two earned runs in 6 1/3 innings, but he was dealt a no-decision. Caleb Hall took the loss.
Hampshire is at Pendleton County on Monday at 4:30 p.m.

SHINNSTON, W.Va. — Micah Ertel doubled in a run in the fourth to give the Vikings a 4-3 lead, and Payton Metheny took care of the rest to lift Petersburg past Lincoln on Friday.

Lukas Wolford hit a two-run homer for Petersburg (3-5) just two batters into the game. Methey had three hits, Broty Sites doubled and singled, Carter Hardy had two singles, and Ertel doubled.
Jacob Holt singled twice for Lincoln (6-3), and Paxton Edwards doubled.
AJ Bart registered as the losing arm after he surrendered four runs (three earned) on six hits in four innings.
