Shop local, handmade and with meaning at Yuletide in the Country
Western New Yorkers can inspire their holiday shopping and buy local Dec. 6-7 as the 31st annual Yuletide in the Country Artisan Market returns to the Event Center at the Hamburg Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. This year’s event will feature 150 artists and artisans, including many local artisans.
“Holiday shopping at this event is a unique experience,” said Dan Kaczynski of Premier Promotions, organizers of the event. “Shoppers are immersed in the sights, scents and sounds of the holidays and actually have the opportunity to interact with the artisans and buy meaningful gifts that each have a story behind them.”
From spa-quality bath products to hand-poured aromatic candles, holiday décor to trendsetting jewelry, stylish pottery to gourmet foods, elegant florals to gifts for pets, and handcrafted furniture to original wall art, Yuletide in the Country offers a remarkable cross-section of gift ideas.
“This event really gives you one last opportunity to find unique gifts that inspire your holiday shopping,” added Kaczynski.
In keeping with the tradition of Premier Promotions events, local charities will also be on hand raising money for their worthy causes. Among them, Hamburg/Eden Animal Rescue (H.E.A.R.T.) will hold a raffle of handmade gifts donated by participating artisans. KIA Memorial Road March will also be present at the event.
Tickets are available at the door and are $8 per person. Seniors and veterans are $7, and children under 12 are admitted free.
For more than 41 years, Premier Promotions has produced high-quality, extremely successful artisan events including Springtime in the Country, Christmas in the Country, Christmas in the Country Rochester and Yuletide in the Country. Last year, more than 120,000 visitors attended these events purchasing more than $8 million in goods from juried artists and artisans. These events have helped raise more than $4 million for Western New York charities.
