OWATONNA — A wrong-way driver who had been drinking alcohol caused a head-on crash on Highway 14 early Sunday morning about six miles east of Owatonna, the State Patrol said.
Lori Kay Linsmeier, 48, of Mankato, was driving west at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the eastbound highway lanes. Her 2015 Ford Explorer crashed into an eastbound vehicle, a 2020 Ram 1500 driven by Benjamin Douglas Pollack, 34, of Kasson, the patrol said. Daniel Jimmy Storlie, 52, of Byron, was a passenger.
The patrol determined Linsmeier had been drinking.
Neither Pollack nor Storlie was injured, but Linsmeier was treated non-life threatening injuries at the Owatonna Hospital.
