ALLIANCE, Ohio — Frankfort competed in the Ashley White Invitational in Eastern Ohio on Saturday, with the boys finishing in second in the Small School Division and girls taking fourth.
Tallmadge’s Donevan Noah won the boys meet in a time of 15:59.
Frankfort’s Gavin McDonald battled Noah throughout the race and took the runner-up position in a time of 16:10. The time placed McDonald as the fourth-fastest runner in Frankfort history.
Frankfort medalist Mac Alexander finished in 22nd place with a time of 17:17, Johnny Jackson took 52nd in 18:03 and Landon Duncan was 96th place in 19:27.
Freshman Dylan Felty finished in 105th place in a personal record time of 19:41. Fellow Freshman Jordan VanMeter took 116th with a personal best 20:02. Noah Athey finished close behind in 120th place in a time of 20:08. Casch Crites rounded out the varsity team by finishing in 147th place in a time of 21:24.
Frankfort’s Alex Horevay finished in the JV race in a 96th place in a time of 25:56.
In the girls meet, Irelyn Johnson from the host school Marlington High School was the overall winner in a time of 18:31.
Bailey Ferguson and Paisley Raines represented the Frankfort girls on the medal stand. Ferguson finished in 14th place in a time of 20:24, and Raines ribboned in 34th place in a time of 20:56.
Frankfort’s Hailey McBride finished in 76th place with a 22:37 and Hayle Yarbough took 113th in 23:48 — both personal-best times.
Hannah Umstead finished in 122nd place in 24:10, Emma Hughes finished in 130th place in 24:38, and Charli Hill battled through an injury to finish in 167th place in a time of 28:13.
Frankfort competes in the Broadford Lake Invitational held in Oakland on Tuesday.
