PEABODY — Police detectives and FBI agents were waiting outside 57 Tremont St. on Friday when when a cab pulled up in front.
They watched as Missael Disala, 29, who was at that time being sought on three active drug warrants, walked out of the door of what looked like a shed and headed toward the cab.
At the last moment, the investigators descended on the surprised Disala and arrested him without a struggle.
After an on-the-spot search, during which they found him to be carrying approximately 1,000 fentanyl pills, Disala was transported to the station and charged.
Sgt. David Bettencourt drafted a request for a search warrant of Disala’s home and took it to Peabody District Court where it was approved.
During the search, investigators found a vacuum sealer, a supply of plastic baggies, enough fentanyl powder to make another 4,000 pills, and thousands of dollars in cash.
Disala was arraigned Friday in Peabody District Court.
