WCTE PBS will have its first Afternoon Tea Party from 1-3 p.m. EDT Saturday, Sept. 13, in Historic Rugby.
Step back in time to the charm and elegance of this 1880s British American village and experience a classic English tea with friends and family in a unique fundraiser that supports WCTE PBS and its mission to tell the stories and enrich the lives of the people of the Upper Cumberland.
Guests will enjoy a lavish tablescape, exquisite tea sandwiches, fresh scones, delectable desserts, and the warmth of company in a setting that feels like a page out of history.
Arrive early to shop in the village and take in the beauty of early fall in the Cumberland Plateau.
Tickets are on sale at wcte.org/afternoon tea; seating is limited.
This event is made possible thanks to Sue Bell, Cindy Warden and friends, along with the donation of Hester Hall by the town of Rugby.
All of the proceeds will benefit WCTE PBS, which has been serving the Upper Cumberland for 48 years with free over-the-air programming, early learning and literacy initiatives, and public safety efforts.
Visit wcte.org/afternoontea, call WCTE PBS at 931-528-2222 ext.312 or email membership@wcte.org for tickets or more information.
