POTOMAC PARK — Flintstone scored seven runs over the final two innings to defeat Bedford, 8-3, in a Hot Stove Junior Division game on Thursday at Holler Field.
Chase Mallow led Flintstone (7-1) going 2 for 3 with four RBIs, Brody Norris was 2 for 3 with two ribbies, Tristan Sheeder singled twice and Noah Swadley scored three times.
Flintstone used six pitchers. Sheeder earned the win, allowing a run in an inning of relief of Norris, its starter, who tossed two scoreless frames but didn’t go the minimum number of fames to be eligible for the victory.
Blake Cragan, Bryce Zembower and Gavin Wagoner all singled twice each for Bedford (9-2). Elijah Lamb was the losing pitcher.
