An investigation into Monday night’s crash involving three motorcycle riders in Cambria is still underway by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
A 20-year-old North Tonawanda man flown to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight with with severe injuries to his leg continues to recover, the sheriff’s office reported Wednesday. As do a 31-year-old North Tonawanda man and 27-year-old Niagara Falls man who were also treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to ECMC.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 4800 block of Cambria Lockport Townline Road. Arriving sheriff’s deputies found three motorcyclists injured on the roadway. Along with members of the Cambria Volunteer Fire Co., deputies applied a tourniquet to a 20-year-old man with severe injuries to his leg to stop arterial bleeding. He was flown to ECMC after stabilization by Cambria Volunteer Fire Co. and City of Lockport Fire Co. paramedics.
At the time of the crash, several motorcycles had been traveling north on Townline Road when three were involved in a collision and struck a guardrail.
