Mountainside Residential Care Center at Margaretville Hospital has announced Patrick Weir as its new administrator.
“We are thrilled to welcome Patrick Weir to his new role,” Elissa Chessari, executive director of WMCHealth’s Northern Region, said in a news release. “Patrick’s extraordinary expertise and unwavering commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care will ensure our residents continue to receive the high-quality support and dignity they deserve.”
According to the release, “Weir brings more than 20 years of experience in long-term care management, with a proven track record of enhancing operational performance and building resident-centered environments. Known for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to excellence, Weir has successfully led interdisciplinary teams in improving regulatory compliance, advancing staff development, and fostering environments where residents can thrive.”
The facility is an award-winning 82-bed skilled nursing facility located on the Margaretville Hospital campus, the release stated. It is a multi-year 5-star recipient of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes award and has received a 4-star rating from Medicare Nursing Home Compare.
“Mountainside has a strong reputation for personalized care, and I’m honored to join a team so committed to their residents and the Margaretville community,” Weir said in the release. “I look forward to building on that foundation — expanding programs, supporting our caregivers and ensuring that every individual who calls Mountainside home receives the best possible care.”
Mountainside Residential Care Center is part of the WMCHealth Network, a Hudson Valley health care system comprising nine hospitals and a network of hospital- and community-based services, the release stated. The facility features skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, and a calendar of recreational and wellness programming.
