TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — With a lack of offense and some bad defensive plays, the Danville Dans once again fell on the road Thursday.
The Dans had four hits and two errors as they lost to the Terre Haute Rex 2-0 at Bob Warn Field.
In the first inning, an error would bring in Felix Polanco for a run for Terre Haute and Wally Diaz would get a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning for another RBI.
Andrew Ortiz, Joshua Martin, Nick Sutherlin and Paul Wittmann each had a hit for Danville, while Jack Gleason had seven strikeouts in five innings to drop to 0-4 for the season. Dylan King had five strikeouts in three innings in relief.
The Dans will return home on Friday to take on the Illinois Pistol Shrimp.
