After two days of medal play at Rochester Country Club, the match-play field is now set at the 122nd New Hampshire Amateur Golf Championship.
Former champ Jack Pepin of Salem, N.H., headed up the handful of area players advancing to the match-play portion.
The 2023 champ showed he could be a force to be reckoned with over the next few days, tying for sixth place with a 71-71 – 142 (-2).
Right behind him, Atkinson’s Mat Gover was one of 15 players to break par, scoring 72-71 – 143 (-1).
Derry’s Zach Hutton (72-75 – 147), Danville’s Stephen Ramos (73-75 – 148), Eagle-Tribune All-Star Harry Garland out of Pelham and Central Catholic (73-75 – 148) and Salem’s Will Miele (74-75 – 149) were the rest of the area survivors, heading to match-play on Wednesday.
The action continues in the morning with the round of 64 and continues through the week until the champ is crowned on Saturday.

The area contingent was not so lucky at GreatHorse as no area players advanced to match-play at the Massachusetts Amateur.
Bradford Country Club’s Matt Lucy gave it all he could but his two-day total of 7-over par (73-78 – 151) just missed the cut at +6.
