BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Liam Stewart drove in five runs, Luke Ross threw a complete game and Garrett County Post 71/208/214 routed Buckhannon Post 7, 10-1, Wednesday.
Stewart had three singles to lead Garrett (10-4-1), which scored a run in the second, two in the fourth, four in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Ryan Bird added a double, single and two RBIs, and Cole Folk tallied an RBI single.
Ross earned the victory on the bump, allowing a run on two hits with 11 strikeouts and three walks in seven innings.
His lone blemish came to Jacob Wamsley, who belted a solo home run.
Garrett, 4-1 in the Mountain District, can claim its first district title since 2021 with a doubleheader sweep of Fort Cumberland (1-4) on Tuesday. First pitch at Memorial Field is slated for 5:30 p.m.
