KINGSTON — Pollinator Week, June 16-22, is dedicated to celebrating and protecting pollinators, which play a vital role in ecosystems, agriculture, and our food supply.
Celebrate by joining Pollinator Pathways NH for a wildflower and butterfly ID hike around a fabulous woods-bordered field from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, in Kingston.
Kingston Conservation Commission chair and Pollinator Pathways NH co-founder Evy Nathan, along with avid birder and expert butterfly enthusiast Steve Mirick, will lead the walk.

Vacation Bible camp for kids
ATKINSON — Atkinson Congregational Church will hold Vacation Bible Camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 23-26. The theme – “What a Mess!” – will not only highlight the fun of being messy but also how Jesus deals with us when life gets messy.
In addition to children ages 4-12, potty-trained 3-year-olds are welcome.
VBC will take place across the Atkinson Congregational Church campus at 101 Main St., including Tuthill House, Lovejoy Hall, and outside on church grounds, weather permitting.

Call for vendors in East Kingston
EAST KINGSTON — The East Kingston Library is recruiting vendors to participate in the East Kingston Farmers’ Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20, and Sunday, Sept. 14.
Vendors of all kinds are welcome. Spaces are free to East Kingston residents and $10 for non-residents. All monies will be donated directly to the Library to help with its annual programming.

Public meetings not broadcast
KINGSTON — Until further notice, broadcasting and videotaping of Kingston board and committee meetings will not be taking place. Broadcasting will resume when the audio-visual equipment in the Town Hall meeting room is repaired.

Summer concert series resumes
HAMPSTEAD — Hampstead Cable Television presents their annual summer concert series at Meetinghouse Park.
The series kicks off with a performance by the Timberlane Community Band on July 1.
Other upcoming performances include: Time Bandits (July 8), The Redneck Castaway Band (July 15), Haggard and Cashed (July 22), Tru Diamond (July 29), MARK209 (Aug. 5), Rick Anthony (Aug. 12), Studio Two (Aug. 19), Martin and Kelly Band (Aug. 26).

Market returns to Atkinson
ATKINSON — The Atkinson Women’s Civic Club’s annual Indoor/Outdoor Artisan Market is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Atkinson Community Center, 4 Main St. The event will be held rain or shine.
The event has become very popular over the years. Come and see your friends and neighbors, enjoy some good food and music, while you shop the various vendor booths.
There will be a variety of 75 unique handmade craft and food vendors inside and out of the Community Center. Make sure you visit all of them as every year they bring in some different talented vendors. The band, “Uncharted Watah” will entertain while you eat and shop.
Local business owners have sponsored raffle baskets and gift cards along with a 50/50 raffle.
The Atkinson Women’s Civic Club is a 501c3 organization and your support by attending this fundraiser will help the AWCC’s functions throughout the year. All proceeds go back to the town. More information is available at www.awcc-nh.org.
Holiday changes in Hampstead
HAMPSTEAD — The Town Offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, for the Juneteenth holiday.
There will be no delay in trash/recycling pick up for June 19.
The Town Clerk — Tax Collectors Office will be closed on Friday, June 20, while the repair work at the counter is done.
Other offices may be open regular business hours 8 a.m. to noon (call 603-329-4100 to verify the department is open prior to arriving).
The Town Clerk — Tax Collector’s Office will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, June 23 (this will give time to put office back together).
