NEWBURYPORT — The Rev. Rebecca Bryan of the First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist Church in Newburyport will visit the “Morning Show” on Thursday.
Host Mary Jacobsen will interview Bryan about her recently published book of sermons, “Guided by Love: A Minister’s Thoughts on Love, Hope, and Justice,” which she compiled at the urging of her parishioners.
Bryan will discuss the power of using stories to communicate impactful messages on such eternal and universal themes as love, grief, and healing, as well as timely issues such as climate, racial justice, and activism.
Topics Bryan will discuss from her sermons include her experience of transcendence while visiting the Grand Canyon, how the perspective of Process Theology defines God as “part of the universe, malleable and changed as a result of decisions being made every day by humans and other living creatures,” and how grief can be viewed not as a “problem to be solved,” but an “education of the heart and soul on what it means to be human.”
“The Morning Show” airs Thursdays at 9 a.m. on Channel 9 and WJOP (FM 96.3), and is available after broadcast at www.NCMHub.org by clicking on YouTube, then Playlist and scrolling down.
