YMCA Buffalo Niagara is conducting a donation drive to benefit Western New York veterans. The Y is looking for donations of the following hygiene products at any of its five wellness centers:
• Deodorant
• Nail clippers
• Bar soap
• Toothpaste and toothbrushes
• Socks
• Shampoo and other hair care products
All donated products will go to local veterans agencies, to benefit men and women who served in the military. This donation drive runs through Memorial Day and everyone in the community is invited to participate. Donors who wish to participate and are not YMCA members will be eligible to save $50 on a YMCA membership.
From Thursday through Monday, all veterans and active duty personnel are invited to try the Y for free at any of their five locations. As part of the support of the nation’s armed forces, the Y ensures all veterans and active military members pay no join fee on membership.
