The South Kortright baseball team defeated Gilboa/Roxbury 10-4 on Thursday to win the Delaware League Championship at Neahwa Park in Oneonta.
After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, the Rams scored three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings and added four more in the seventh.
Jackson Hudson had a double, a single and three RBI to lead the SK offense while Cole Thomas and Anthony Martinez each finished with a double, a single and two RBI. Logan Reinshagen worked six innings to pick up the win on the mound.
South Kortright improves to 7-4 and G/R falls to 7-5 entering next week’s sectional playoffs.
Oneonta 7, Lansing 5
A six-run fourth inning helped Oneonta defeat Lansing 7-5 at home on Thursday.
Noan Stark’s three-run home run was the big blow in the key inning while Bruce Mistler provided an RBI double and Brady Carr finished with two hits including a double. Carr also picked up the win, working two innings out of the bullpen.
Oneonta (15-2) will face Horseheads at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton on Saturday in the STAC Semifinals at 11 a.m. with the winner advancing to the title game in the afternoon.
Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children.
Deposit-Hancock 8, Unatego/Franklin 4
Deposit-Hancock rallied from an early deficit to defeat Unatego/Franklin 8-4 in the Midstate Athletic Conference title game on Thursday in Sidney.
The Eagles took the lead with a two-run fourth inning and added three key insurance runs in the sixth.
Ty Rynearson was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, Noah Bass had two triples and two RBI and Blake Fortunato struck out 11 batters on the mound.
Xander Johnson led U/F with two hits including a solo home run while Gavin Nordberg drove in a pair of runs.
D-H improves to 16-0 while U/F drops to 11-3.
Morrisville-Eaton 6, Cooperstown 5
Cooperstown was unable to recover from an early deficit on Thursday, falling to Morrisville-Eaton 6-5 on the road.
Jonathan Torres led the offense with three hits, Aaron Katz drove in a pair of runs and Brody Murdock and Christian Lawson combined for six strikeouts on the mound.
Cooperstown (3-4) will visit West Canada Valley on Friday.
Afton/Harpursville 4, Delhi 1
Afton/Harpursville defeated Delhi 4-1 at home on Thursday in a MAC contest.
Ryan Wright struck out 15 batters and allowed only three hits as the winning pitcher. At the plate, Matt Carman had a double and Timothy Barnett notched two hits and two RBI.
Delhi’s Lucas Nealis recorded 10 strikeouts, Brayden Eckert had two hits including a double and Isaac Marsiglio also had a base knock.
A/H improves to 7-11 while Delhi falls to 6-6.

The Cooperstown golf team took down Sherburne-Earlville 166-189 in Thursday’s match at Leatherstocking Golf Course.
Brayden Sentz finished with a 38 to lead the Hawkeyes, while Thomas Hellenthal (40), Jackson Crisman (42) and Ben Lewis (46) had the other low rounds of the day.
Cooperstown and S-E will face each other again on Friday at Mountain Top Golf Course.
