HOOPESTON — The Hoopeston Area softball team bounced back from an early 3-1 deficit to get a 15-5 win in five innings over St. Thomas More on Tuesday.
Addyson Kelnhofer had three hits with five RBIs for the Cornjerkers, while Viviana Zamarripa had two hits and an RBI, Maddie Barnes, Kennedy Wallace and Mollie Anderson each had one RBI and Peyton Irons had two hits.
Barnes had eight strikeouts on the mound and gave up four hits for Hoopeston Area, who is 7-1 and will face LeRoy on Thursday.
