PETERSBURG, W.Va. — No. 4 Petersburg scored all 13 of its runs across the first two innings, leading to a 13-0 five-inning victory over Pendleton County on Thursday.
The Vikings (13-5) combined for nine hits with Colin Mauzy, Lukas Wolford and Kaleb Kuhn each recording a pair.
Wolford and Kuhn added a pair of RBIs while Payton Metheny and Trace Rohrbaugh each stole two bases.
Caden Arbaugh earned the win in five shutout frames, allowing three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.
Petersburg plays at Southern (8-7) on Friday before heading to Elkins on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Grace 7, Calvary 2
HAGERSTOWN — Grace had eight of its nine players in the lineup record a hit, leading to a win over Calvary on Thursday.
Grace recorded eight hits from eight different players while holding the Eagles (1-7) to three.
Sammy Scritchfield was responsible for two of the three hits, also swiping a pair of bases.
Calvary hosts Cumberland Valley on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
