PORTSMOUTH — The Seacoast Wind Ensemble (SWE) will once again open the “Summer in the Street” concert series from 5-8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9 at Market Square in Portsmouth.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the Portsmouth concert. On Sunday, July 14, the ensemble will perform at “The Temple” building at Ocean Park, Maine, from 7-8:30 p.m. (This concert is indoors.) Concerts are free and open to the public.
The concerts will feature music both familiar and new, including “A Glorious Summer Day” by Satoshi Yagisawa; “Early Light” by Carolyn Bremer, selections from Benny Goodman, patriotic music, marches, and many more.
Other upcoming performances include “Summer in the Street” closing concert from 5-8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27 in Portsmouth; and Ellis Park Bandstand at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 in York, Maine.
