Two accidents during the weekend have resulted in two North Alabama fatalities, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Limestone County
A single-vehicle crash that occurred at about 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, has claimed the life of a Harvest man. Christopher O. Bright, 36, was killed when the 2006 Honda Accord he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Bright was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Sandlin Road near Aubie Lane, approximately two miles east of Elkmont, in Limestone County.
Cullman County
A single-vehicle crash that occurred at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, has claimed the life of a Holly Pond man. Derek L. Humphries, 36, was killed when the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Humphries was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 316 mile marker, approximately three miles north of Vinemont, in Cullman County.
Nothing further is available from either fatality as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
