MANKATO — A section of Victory Drive — Blue Earth County Road 82 — will temporarily close for a reconstruction project slated to begin next month.
The road section between Marwood Drive to Extension Street in Mankato will close May 5, a Blue Earth County press release said. The Main Street/Victory Drive intersection also will be closed to traffic until the project is completed in late August.
Victory Drive thru-traffic will be detoured via Hoffman Road, Highway 22 and Madison Avenue. Thru-traffic on Main Street will be detoured via Hosanna Drive, Hoffman Road/Glenwood Avenue and Bruels Street.
The county’s joint project with Mankato includes storm sewer improvements, concrete pavement and curb-and-gutter work, the replacement of a bituminous trail and the replacement of a traffic signal and lighting upgrades at Main Street.
