Sara Vandever is the city of Crossville’s Employee of the Quarter.
An administrative assistant with the Crossville Police Department, Vandever was recognized by Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford during October’s regular City Council meeting.
“Sara’s knowledge of the workings of municipal government, state laws and court proceedings is a major benefit to the Police Department,” said one of Vandever’s fellow employees in nominating her for the honor.
“The efforts that she puts in to make sure things are done correctly is second to none, and the emmployess benefit greatly from it. She is definitely an important piece to the success of this department.”
Another fellow employee who nominated Vandever praised her efficiency and organization skills.
“In today’s era, in the workforce, it is hard to find someone like Ms. Vandever,” the employee said. “She is a hidden gem, and I’m so glad she is put in a position to problem solve like she does. She takes a great deal of stress off the patrol, as well as makes case file and emailing us whenever we have court and grand jury cases and always works well with the DA’s office.”
Vandever accepted the honor with her family.
