The Cumberland United Fund celebrated the success of its 15th Annual Golf Tournament recently at the scenic Dorchester Golf Course in Fairfield Glade. With 46 teams participating, the event raised more than $15,000 to support local nonprofit agencies across Cumberland County.
Players were welcomed at sign-in by Rebecca Adams and Allison Brendel, while photographer Amanda Elmore captured the day’s special moments. From there, golfers enjoyed not only friendly competition but also a few playful twists to keep things lively—like 15 feet of string, a throw, a mulligan and even a “move up” hole.
In honor of the tournament’s 15th anniversary, a special snack station awaited players, stocked with treats generously provided by Flowers Bakery and First National Bank. Adding to the festive spirit, several United Fund Partner Agencies were stationed on holes throughout the course, cheering on teams and personally thanking golfers for their support—support that makes a direct and lasting impact on their organizations and the community.
Prizes of over $6,500 were awarded to the top eight teams in each flight.
