KALKASKA TOWNSHIP — Two men were arraigned on charges related to the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl in northern Michigan.
Chance Donald, 19, and Kevin Bland, 21, of Saginaw were arraigned in the 87-A District Court in Kalkaska County on Nov. 21 on multiple controlled substance charges after police investigated the pair’s connection with the alleged sale of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Donald was arraigned on four counts of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine and one count of delivery/manufacture of other narcotics (less than 25 grams).
Bland was arraigned on one count of conspiracy to deliver/manufacture methamphetamine and one count of possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy.
Both were given a $100,000 cash surety bond and have court hearings scheduled for Dec. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
Detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team arrested the two men after finishing an investigation on Nov. 20 and seized approximately 13 ounces of suspected methamphetamine and 3.5 grams of fentanyl from Donald, a Nov. 26 Michigan State Police press release said.
MSP Houghton Lake Post and the Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest.
