Truck fire damages Sheetz gas island

LAVALE — A pickup that caught fire Saturday at the Sheetz gas pumps on Winchester Road caused about $100,000 damage, the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal said.
The 2013 Ford F-150, owned by Tyler Griffin, was destroyed, investigators said.
The fire began in the engine compartment of the truck and caused about $30,000 damage.
There were no injuries in the 5:15 p.m. incident.
Firefighters from LaVale and Cresaptown extinguished the blaze in about 10 minutes.
