TICONDEROGA — Tommy Montalbano, Jackson Dorsett and Alex Swajger combined for 44 of Ticonderoga’s points on Tuesday in a 47-44 victory over Northern Adirondack in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys’ basketball.
Montalbano led the way with 17 points and was followed by Dorsett with 15 and Swajger 12. Dorsett hit three three-pointers and Montalbano two.
Calvin Magoon was the leading scorer for the Bobcats with a game-high 18 points and Caleb Damour chipped in with 10.
“It was a hard-fought game that either team could have won,” Ticonderoga coach Joe Defayette said. “We were fortunate to make enough stops late and hang on.
“This was a great team win. Everyone has been working hard in practice and it is showing.”

Logan Rodriguez led the way with 16 points, followed by Bryan Kemokai with 15, Landon LaDue 13 and Max Filosca 10.
PHS held a 34-15 halftime lead.
Lucas Allen’s eight points was high for Peru and Kobe Jayden-Harris was next with seven.
“Plattsburgh had a good overall game,” Peru coach Jacob Mossey said. “(PHS coach) Chris (Hartmann) coached an efficient offense and they were able to get to the rim.
“Our Peru team showed good things on both sides of the ball tonight, most notable in the first half.”

Beekmantown took a 37-29 lead into the locker room at the half.
Carson Duffield tossed in 15 points and was followed by Caswell McCoy with 14 and Lucas Pierce 13.
“We got off to a fast start and built a big early lead, sparked by our defensive intensity,” Beekmantown coach Ryan Converse said. “Josh Sand was really aggressive early and that was a huge boost for us.
“Saranac didn’t go away easy, however. They battled back and hit some big time shots to keep the game tight. They were able to cut the deficit all the way down to one late, but our guys made some good adjustments down the stretch to seal the game.”

Harvey Merrill accounted for over two-thirds of the Warriors’ offense with 26 points, including four three-pointers and 16 second-half points.
“We have been playing a lot of good teams and playing well, just not getting the wins,” AuSable Valley coach Andrew Bombard said. “We came out with a lot of energy and passion, and took control of the game early on.”
