TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City West senior Lincoln Lockhart earned second-team all-state in the 2025 Michigan Sports Writers All-State boys basketball teams announced Thursday.
The 6-foot-1 guard was the unanimous Big North Conference Player of the Year after averaging 17.0 points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game on a team with three players averaging double figures in scoring.
Cadillac senior forward Kyle McGowan earned honorable mention all-state.
The 6-foot-8 post player averaged 14.4 points, 9.98 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. He was a first-team all-state tight end in football and committed to Northern Michigan University in that sport.
Boyne City senior Jaden Alger was an honorable mention selection in Wednesday’s Division 2 team.
Alger averaged 15.2 points per game, along with 9.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists. The 6-foot-5 forward also earned all-state in football.
