NORTH MANKATO — A man was charged with murder after a medical examiner determined a 27-year-old died from multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday in North Mankato.
Dominic Scott Ellen, 41, is accused of killing John Everette Lutgen-Bernatz before police found the two at Village Court Apartments. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Lutgen-Bernatz’s death was a homicide, according to a release from the North Mankato Police Department.
Ellen remains in custody after being charged with two counts of second-degree murder plus first-degree assault, threats of violence and possession of a firearm without a serial number in Nicollet County District Court.
