FOXBOROUGH — St. John’s Prep, the state’s top ranked football team for the majority of the 2025 football season, had hoped to end the year by raising the Division 1 Super Bowl trophy above their heads Saturday night.
Those dreams were dashed by their rivals from Xaverian, however, who defeated the Eagles, 41-35, on a cold night at Gillette Stadium.
Trailing by 20 points on three different occasions, St. John’s Prep rallied with a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to cut its deficit to six points. But the Eagles could get no closer and ultimately finished their season with an 11-2 record.
