Students in the Comprehensive Development Classroom (CDC) at South Cumberland Elementary recently enjoyed their annual field trip to the Cumberland County Fair.
Led by teacher Gabby Piercy, along with dedicated teaching assistants Sara McGhee and Celeste Ciabattari, and supported by nurses Brittany Dodson, Kirsten Turner, and Kayla Napier, the students spent the day exploring exhibits, enjoying the rides, and experiencing all the fun and excitement the fair has to offer.
The annual trip has become a special tradition for the class, giving students the opportunity to learn outside the classroom while also building memories with their teachers and friends.
“This trip is always such a highlight of our year,” said Piercy. “Our students look forward to it, and it’s a wonderful way to connect learning with real-world experiences.”
The South Cumberland Elementary community celebrates the success of this event and the dedication of its staff, who work hard to ensure every student has meaningful and memorable opportunities.
