PLATTSBURGH —The Hornets started out hot grabbing a 3-1 lead, but SLP wouldn’t be denied.
The Lakers rallied with five unanswered goals to take a 6-3 lead into the break.
PHS tried to get back in the game but SLP wouldn’t be denied the victory as they kept the pressure on in the second stanza.
Emilee Geiger led Plattsburgh with three goals scored with Reese Gregoire adding two. Lizzy Burnham added a goal and an assist as Avery Berman added an assist.
“PHS played hard from start to finish against one of the top teams in the league in Saranac Lake Placid,” Hornet head coach Alfie Ladue said. “We went up early with a 3-1 score, but SLP wouldn’t be denied the comeback win.”
