“We have been going strong for 30-plus year,” said Leanne Topolosky, a member of the Women’s Nine Hole Golf League. “Our league plays a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays beginning on May 5 through September. The league plays opposite the Fairfield Glade Men’s Nine-Hole League on all five of our courses, both nines.”
Players may choose to play from the red tees, the forward green tees, or the hybrid tees. All five Fairfield Glade courses will be played.
“The league wants everyone to have a good time golfing while abiding by the PGA and local golf rules,” Topolosky said. “PGA rule changes for 2025 will be discussed at the opening lunch being held on April 28.”
A special meeting for new members will be April 21. Call Topolosky, membership chair, at 603-568-1727 or President Wendy Bernek at 931-210-7248.
“Prior to the first play date you must have an established GHIN handicap,” Topolosky said. “The GHIN fee must be paid separately at the Druid Hills Pro Shop. The GHIN fee is $27.”
Annual dues are $35 and should be paid prior to April 25.
Go to fgr-25fgwomens9hole.golfgenius.com and fill out the registration form to sign up.
“You will receive an e-mail confirmation and an invoice for the annual dues,” Topolosky said. “Looking forward to meeting you, and we will see you in the spring.”
