PLATTSBURGH — Lily Brown scored in the first half and Eve Liberty, with Alyse Liberty assisting, in the second stanza to help give Saranac a 2-0 victory over Plattsburgh High in Northern Soccer League Division I play on Friday night.
Brown gave the Spartans the lead for good at 33:24 of the first half, while Eve Liberty added the insurance at 24:08 of the second stanza.
The shutout in net went to Addison Castine, who finished with four saves. In goal for PHS was Katelyn McCormick with eight stops.

LAKE PLACID — The Blue Bombers and Vikings each tallied a goal late in the first half and the score stayed that way the rest of the contest.
Emmy Nephew, with Maggie Sprague getting the assist, gave Moriah the lead at 39:07 of the first half. Ella Moodey, however, answered for Lake Placid just 30 seconds later.
“It was a hard-fought game,” Lake Placid coach Heather Brewer said. “We created some good chances and played tough defensively. Ella Moodey had a strong game for us at midfield and forward.”

Lula Pfendler kept her team in the game with 20 saves in the AuSable Valley nets.

Hartwell finished with three goals and one assist, while Larabee added two goals and two assists. Ellie Smith also scored for Schroon Lake/Newcomb.
Laney Nolette tallied the lone goal for the Wolves, which tied the game at 1-all midway through the first half. But goals by Smith and Hartwell gave the hosts a 3-1 halftime advantage.

CHAZY — The Eagles made quick work of the Beavers in a Northern Soccer League non-division matchup. Chazy won 6-0.
The Eagles scored four goals in the first 10 minutes to put the game away.
Landen Duprey recorded a hat trick in the first half and Chadd Devins and Ashton Hoffnagle recorded the other goals in the first half for Chazy.
Duprey recorded an assist as did Zeke McLennan, Jacoby Weeden and Pryce Parker, who had two.
Parker got his third assist in the second half as Weeden scored 19 seconds into the half.

CHAZY — In what could be a preview of Class D sectionals, Chazy and Boquet Valley ended in a 1-1 tie.
Claire Reynolds got the Griffins on the board early when she lined a shot into the back of the net.
With just over 10 minutes remaining in the first half, Emma Howell tied the score thanks to an assist by Juliana Inzunza.
Neither team could get another point on the board as Chazy outshot Boquet Valley, 8-3.
“We did a nice job of generating and creating great chances,” Eagles head coach John Tregan said. “We just couldn’t find the finishing touch.”
