DANVILLE — The Historic Fischer Theatre is opening its doors in a new way with the launch of regular public hours for The Shoppe at the Fischer.
According to a release, The Shoppe at the Fischer will be open from 2-8 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, giving community members an opportunity to stop by the theatre, shop Fischer merchandise and purchase tickets in person at the walk-up box office.
Located inside the Fischer Theatre, The Shoppe offers a selection of Fischer-branded merchandise perfect for theatre fans, local history enthusiasts and anyone looking to show their support for one of downtown Danville’s most recognizable landmarks.
The addition of regular hours also makes it easier for patrons who prefer to purchase event tickets in person. Visitors can stop in during business hours to learn more about upcoming performances and events and purchase tickets directly from the Fischer box office.
“We’re excited to give people another reason to walk through the doors of the Fischer,” said Executive Director Ashton Greer. “Whether you’re stopping in to pick up some Fischer merchandise, buying tickets for an upcoming show or simply visiting the theatre, we want The Shoppe to feel like another welcoming connection between the Fischer and our community.”
The Fischer Theatre is located at 158 N. Vermilion Street in downtown Danville. For information about upcoming events, tickets and the Fischer Theatre, visit www.fischertheatre.com.
