WALTHAM — Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) recently donated one of its company vehicles to Vehicles for Veterans, a nonprofit car donation foundation that supports U.S. veterans and their families, according to officials.
MVCU donated a 2018 Chevy Equinox with about 150,000 miles to the nonprofit organization in celebration of Veterans Day.
Vehicles for Veterans turns donated vehicles into funding for veteran programs across the country that support housing, healthcare and employment assistance. Through this donation, MVCU is helping to further the organization’s mission to support veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country.
“Honoring and supporting those who served is a cause that is extremely close to my heart,” MVCU President John J. Howard said. who is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. “We are so proud to support an organization that helps our veterans and their families lead happy and healthy lives. It is the least we can do in return for all that they have done for us.”
