PAXTON — Laney Cook’s third-inning grand slam helped propel the Westville Tigers past the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers in a non-conference softball contest on Tuesday.
Cook finished the game with a double, a home run and those four RBIs, while senior Lani Gondzur went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and Lily Kiesel had three hits, including a solo home run. Westville also got a home run from Peyton Sabalaskey in the second inning.
Kiesel was the winning pitcher for the Tigers (13-2) striking out nine in five innings.
