DANVILLE — The Salt Fork girls basketball team started defense of its county title in style on Monday.
The Storm held Oakwood scoreless in two quarters as they were able to get a 50-12 win at the Vermilion County Tournament at Danville Area Community College’s Mary Miller Gym.
Alexa Jamison had 18 points to lead the Storm, while Bracie Hird had 11, Taylor Remole and Sailor Pacot each had six and Ella Cary added four.
Lainee Simth had seven points for the Comets, while Taylor Smoot added three points.
The Storm will play Georgetown-Ridge Farm on Wednesday for a chance to go to Friday’s Championship game, while the Comets will wait to see what happens to them on Saturday.
